Francois Dumoulin was active in Liege, Belgium from about 1878 to the early 1900's, maker of a variety of pistols, revolvers, rifles and fine shotguns. His guns are of excellent workmanship.
 

This one is in excellent condition. The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly, with no play on trigger pull. The bore of the 2 1/2-inch barrel is bright, with sharp and strong rifling. The walnut grips are excellent and undamaged, with excellent checkering. The gun is chambered for the 44 Webley cartridge but will take a 44 Russian as well. Pre-1893 Liege proofs, post-1878 inspection marks. DF, rated excellent overall.
