Lac Ste. Anne Foundation Internal/External Posting Is seeking an individual to fill a Part Time .60 FTE combined position of Lodge Assistant /Cook located in our facility in Onoway. Lodge Assistant/Cook – .60 FTE Position Permanent Onoway Description: Directly reporting to the Site Manager, the Lodge Assistant is accountable for: Maintaining Site Cleanliness, Laundry Services, Safety and Security. This position entails a high level of interaction with our Residents. Description: Directly reporting to the Site Manager, the Cook is accountable for: Meal Preparation for approximately 50 residents, Serving Meals and Cleanliness of Food Services Area. This position entails a high level of interaction with seniors and requires physical endurance (e.g. maneuvering heavy pots, flour bags). Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities The Chateau Lac Ste. Anne Lodge is a fast-paced environment with many repetitive tasks. The position can be physically demanding and attention to detail is important. This position requires a combination of standing & walking throughout the shifts. This position is required to work a combination of day, afternoon and night shifts based on a 24hr – 6 week rotating schedule. Personal Suitability The applicant must show initiative, effective interpersonal skills, flexibility and be a team player. Excellent oral communication, Resident focus, interpersonal awareness, dependability, judgement, values and ethics; reliability as well as organizational skills are an asset. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: • Demonstrates an understanding of generally accepted commercial cleaning practices • Demonstrates an understanding of the Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating • Knowledge of food ratio guidelines based on dietary requirements for seniors • Demonstrates understanding of dietary requirements for seniors • High School Diploma • WHMIS • Criminal Record Check • Must be 18 years of age Lac Ste.
