Lawrence Ruskin is a British Columbia-based glass artist whose career was defined by a transition from a passionate collector to an award-winning glass blower.

Artistic Development

Early Beginnings: His interest in the medium began with collecting. In 1982, his fascination led him to build a "Hot Studio" in his backyard where he taught himself the fundamentals of glass blowing.

Formal Training: To refine his self-taught skills, he enrolled in the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington. In 1987, he was juried into a prestigious 20th-anniversary Masters class taught by world-renowned glass pioneers Dale Chihuly and Lino
