This is a classic Mauser rifle (M98 Mauser Action) with an extremely smooth action. The bore is in excellent condition, and the rifle shoots very well. Open Sights Are Still in Place. I'm downsizing my collection, and this rifle is located in Scotch Creek, BC. The rifle has a very nice custom full-length stock with a raised cheekpiece that shows some handling marks. The barrel length is 24 ½ inches, and the overall condition is rated 8/10.

The cartridge is known as 7.92x57 and 8 mm (more commonly known as 8 mm Mauser or 8x57). Both designations refer to the same cartridge, with "7.92x57" being the military metric designation used by Germany and "8mm" being the most common shorthand name used by civilian shooters in North America.
