Sako 85 Carbonlight .308 Win – 20” – Ultralight Mountain Rifle

Original owner. Selling my Sako 85 Carbonlight chambered in .308 Winchester with the factory 20.25" stainless fluted barrel.

This is a true ultralight mountain rifle. It weighs 5 lb 7.7 oz with the Talley rings/bases and Sako sling studs installed, or 6 lb 7.1 oz with the Swarovski Z3 4–12x50 BT Plex mounted.

Approximately 180 rounds fired. Very accurate rifle and capable of touching holes at 100 yards with good shooting. It has shot handloaded 165 gr Hornady GMX and 180 gr Barnes TTSX, as well as factory-loaded 165 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip and 168 gr Hornady BLACK A-MAX, very well.

The trigger was professionally adjusted by Corlane Sporting Goods to approximately 1.8 lb.

The original soft-touch stock coating gradually wore through in a few areas from normal backpack and sling contact. The rifle has always been cleaned regularly after use. The remaining soft-touch coating was removed for consistency, and the carbon stock was refinished with a fresh protective exterior coating.

There is a small cosmetic dent/mark on the trigger guard shown in the photos. It does not affect function.

Swarovski Z3 4–12x50 BT Plex with original box also available separately for $1,425, or a package can be worked out with the rifle.

Additional .308 ammunition, including factory and handloaded ammunition, brass, bullets, powders, and reloading components, is available separately or as part of a package.
