This is a Budapest M95 steyr (mannlicher) rifle chambered in 8x56r. It is an arsenal force match SN 5988H. Straight pull bolt action, 5rd clip fed (1clip included with rifle). History: prior to WWII the 1895 mannlicher rifles were cut down to carbine length and rechambered from 8x50r black powder to the more powerful 8x56r smokeless cartridge which is indicated by the “S” on the barrel and score line on receiver and barrel. There is a few variations of these rifles most commonly having the “M95” engraved on the receiver with a “steyr” or in this rifle’s case “Budapest”

I have for sale a very nice Ruger 96.  It is chambered in the 44 mag cartridge.  It is in very nice condition. The blueing is close to excellent and the wood is very good with a bit of wear from use and a few very small bumps and nicks but nothing bad at all. The bore is excellent and the rifle functions exactly as it was intended to. I have fired this rifle and found it to be extremely accurate and easy to shoot. The case coloring on the lever is very nice.
