Swiss M1882 Service Revolver, 7.5mm/ 32 S&W Swiss Ordnance The Swiss Service Revolver of 1882 was a modification of the Nagant revolver in use since 1878. It was modified by Swiss Colonel Rudolf Schmidt. It employs the Georges Abati cylinder advance system, by which the cylinder can be advanced without raising the hammer when the loading gate is open. This allows the shooter to load and unload the cylinder quickly, without having to touch the hammer. The gun is of typical Swiss quality, with clock-like precision.​ This one is in very fine condition, as restored. The blue is intact. The markings and numbers are sharp. The serial numbers match. There are also several sub-assembly numbers visible. The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is good, with sharp rifling and no signs of use. The gun is chambered for the Swiss 7.5mm cartridge, but will accept a .32 S&W long/short as well. Colt M1892 "New Army" Revolver has significant improvements over M1889 with better locking and indexing mechanism. This one is in excellent condition. It bears about all of its original blue finish. The nitre blue on the trigger and hammer is well visible. The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is fine with good rifling. The markings are sharp and defined throughout. Extractor working as it should. The assembly numbers on the cylinder, crane and frame. The grips are good and undamaged, showing no wear.​​ History & Background This model is an important milestone in Colt handgun development, as it is the first American revolver with a swing-out cylinder mounted on a crane, a development which would become the standard for modern revolvers to this day. The 1889 cylinder mechanism was already "on the books" as early as 1880, based on designs of Colt engineers William Mason, C.J Ehbets and Horace Lord. It would take almost ten years for Colt executives to give the green light to manufacture this gun, and once it was available, the US government quickly took notice and ordered several thousand for the Navy. Colt adopted the name "New Navy" in honor of this order. The gun has an interesting counter-clockwise cylinder rotation and a locking mechanism which relies entirely on the two-pronged hand.The 1889 model would remain in production for 18 years, with significant improvements in 1892, 94, 95, 96, 1901 and 1903. When it was first introduced in 1889, it met with no competition from the other major makers - Smith & Wesson were still heavily engaged in manufacturing top-break revolvers, and Remington only had their solid frame revolvers with removable cylinders to offer. It would take S&W another ten years before they had a viable alternative to Colt's design.

It was mentioned in a letter to the Russian envoy General Orlof, and although the sale to Russia never materialized, it served to pave the way for the very popular and successful line of double action top break revolvers. The .44 Russian model was actually the first to be produced as a prototype, and the last to be released for sale to the public. For this reason there exists a degree of confusion over the proper terminology: the first one to be manufactured for sale was the .38 caliber model, followed by the .32. The .44 caliber model was not released until 1881, and is variably known as the No. 3 Double Action, the Double Action "Navy" (a name Daniel Wesson wanted to keep alive to differentiate this model from the No. 3 single action, and still holding out hope to sell it to the Russian navy), and the First Model Double Action. This is conversion to 45ACP /45 Auto also compatible with .455 Webley As well as original 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition. it is "in the white", meaning it has never been blued or plated. It is not pitted, and all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers - or parts rof - are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The barrel is newer replacement dated 1917. The action is excellent and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks without any play. The walnut grips are excellent and show no wear or damage this one looks like new. SN G38552, manufactured in 1883, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

Remington-Smoot New Model No. 4, .38 Rim Fire Pocket Revolver. The design of the "New Model" Line of Remington revolvers is based on a patent issued to William S. Smoot in 1873. The four types, No. 1 through 4, are all similar in their use of a two-part frame which is joined just above the grip. This one is the No. 4, which resembles the popular "Bulldogs" of the day. It is in excellent condition with original nickel . The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The bore of the 2 1/2 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp rifling. The black hard-rubber grips are very fine and undamaged. SN 21108, excellent overall.​​ History & Background Like Colt, Remington had to get into the cartridge pocket revolver market by sheer public pressure. They, too, like Colt, experienced difficulties trying to compete with the cheap "suicide specials" which were available at that same time. Although sales were brisk at first, and the guns enjoyed great popularity due to their excellent quality, in the long run the public opted for cheap over quality, and by the mid 1880's production of the smaller models was halted. The Smoot patent refers to the spring-loaded cylinder pin / extractor found on the New Model No. 1, 2 and 3. Remington was well known to acquire the patents of other designers and incorporating them into their own line of products, and into the name of the models. Inventors such as Beals, Elliot, Rider and Smoot all contributed to the success of Remington handguns.

The action is strong and tight, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 2 1/2 inch barrel is very good, with strong rifling. The rosewood grips are excellent and undamaged, with varnish intact. SN 289, very good overall. History & Background One of the most prolific makers in America was the firm of Hopkins & Allen. Founded in 1868 by the principals Charles Converse, Charles and Samuel Hopkins, and Charles Allen, the firm assumed the assets of the Bacon Manufacturing Company. H&A used Bacon's machinery and inventory of parts, and continued at first to make Bacon's various models before switching to cartridge revolvers and later rifles and shot guns. H&A was in business until 1915, and claimed to be the "largest manufacturers of high-grade, popular priced firearms in the world". Hopkins & Allen were well known for their pocket revolvers and Merwin & Hulbert branded large-frame revolvers. H&A are generally of a better quality and workmanship than other suicide specials.

This is self defence model with safety trigger/hammer designed for fast action and protection from accidental hammer cocking. This one looks like a little brother of S&W open top 44 Russian revolver (look at the last picture) This is an antique Harrington & Richardson 6-shot Automatic Ejecting Revolver, chambered in 6 shots of 32 H&R Long (a now obsolete black powder cartridge) but fully compatible with 32 S&W long/short. It is a 1st Model 2nd Variation. There is external ejector button on the underside of the barrel-frame hinge that can be used to manually return the ejector. Full serial number marked on underside of barrel top strap as 09626. Frame is marked with last four digits of serial number (9626) under the grips. Three digits of assembly number (487) marked on cylinder and extractor. Mechanically functions very good. Single action is not disabled and double action functions very well. Timing is strong, with minimal play on the chambers with the trigger fully depressed. Ejector and manual ejector button work perfectly. Barrel snaps shut strongly, and the cylinder release latch button also functions perfectly as designed. Bore has strong rifling all the way trough the barrel.

Sharps & Hankins "No. 3 C" Four-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Caliber Rim Fire , SCARCE This one is a Sharps & Hankins four-barrel pepperbox classified as a "Model 3C". It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms. In 1862, Christian Sharps formed "Sharps & Hankins", in partnership with William Hankins, who had sold his own plant to William Uhlinger. Sharps & Hankins would continue until 1866, producing their four-barrel pepperboxes, single shot pistols, and military grade long arms in competition with his former company in Hartford. Soon after the war, the partnership was dissolved, and Sharps would go back to his previous name of C. Sharps & Co. He continued to manufacture the four-barrel pepperboxes until 1874, when the firm was dissolved after his death.

I have about 10 pounds of various gun powder’s suitable for reloading .410 shotshells or small cased varmint ammo (eg. 22 Hornet, 221 Fireball) . 3 pounds of Winchester 296, 2 pounds of H110 (same load data as Winchester 296), 1 pound of Hogdon Lil’ Gun, 1 pound of Winchester 680, 4 pounds of Bulk 116S that uses Winchester 680 load data.
