This, the infamous rifle that was said to be the most accurate and well built for it's time, it's more known for causing the deaths of tens of thousands of Canadians and the other countries that adopted this rifle for the reason of fighting in the trenches WW1 and would get sand/mud ECT in the bolt action though it was so well made the precision and delicate machining of this had it opened to jamming, and when our troops ran into this under fire, to clean it out was time consuming, I bought this back around early 2000's for the purpose of giving it to a museum that has my great grandfather's war memorial, the plan changed a while back and looking to downsize, I don't use it for any purpose and has been locked up for years. Barrel looks great. DeLisle carbines were built on No 1Mk 3 lee Enfield,s This is a non silenced rifle , she goes bang like any other bolt action rifle. The fake barrel shroud is permanently attached to the barrel. ie; it cannot be removed. The paint. and wood has been distressed to look like a well used rifle. Combat ! The stainless steel barrel,newly manufactured barrel is just shy of 17 inches . Solid barrel inside shroud. The caliber is the same as the originals 45. A. C. P. because 45acp started out subsonic. The magazine is a standard Colt 1911 pistol magazine. It feeds ball, hollow point, and lead bullets. All ammo must be chambered from the magazine, cannot be loaded single shot because of the extractor configuration. You could call this a movie prop, functional bolt action rifle. Selling/trading a Winchester Model 1892 in 44 WCF (.44-40). Overall it's in nice shape. Made in 1911, 24" barrel. Steel is all in nice shape throughout, has faded to a nice patina, no major pitting or rust to note. Wood stocks are also in good solid shape, shows normal marks and dings throughout, two scratches and one light hairline at the wrist. Bore shows some light pitting throughout but still has decent colour and rifling to it. Loading gate appears to be homemade but seems to function as it should. Complete with iron sights.
