SN 5819, very good overall. History & Background Smith and Wesson's first double action design dates back to at least 1872 - years before Colt ever attempted a double action cartridge revolver. It was mentioned in a letter to the Russian envoy General Orlof, and although the sale to Russia never materialized, it served to pave the way for the very popular and successful line of double action top break revolvers. The .44 Russian model was actually the first to be produced as a prototype, and the last to be released for sale to the public. For this reason there exists a degree of confusion over the proper terminology: the first one to be manufactured for sale was the .38 caliber model, followed by the .32. The .44 caliber model was not released until 1881, and is variably known as the No. 3 Double Action, the Double Action "Navy" (a name Daniel Wesson wanted to keep alive to differentiate this model from the No. 3 single action, and still holding out hope to sell it to the Russian navy), and the First Model Double Action. This is conversion to 45ACP /45 Auto also compatible with .455 Webley As well as original 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition. it is "in the white", meaning it has never been blued or plated. It is not pitted, and all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers - or parts rof - are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The barrel is newer replacement dated 1917. The action is excellent and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks without any play. The walnut grips are excellent and show no wear or damage this one looks like new. SN G38552, manufactured in 1883, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

Hopkins & Allen "XL No. 4", .38 RF Pocket Revolver The markings are sharp and the numbers match on the frame, barrel and cylinder. The action is strong and tight, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 2 1/2 inch barrel is very good, with strong rifling. The rosewood grips are excellent and undamaged, with varnish intact. SN 289, very good overall. History & Background One of the most prolific makers in America was the firm of Hopkins & Allen. Founded in 1868 by the principals Charles Converse, Charles and Samuel Hopkins, and Charles Allen, the firm assumed the assets of the Bacon Manufacturing Company. H&A used Bacon's machinery and inventory of parts, and continued at first to make Bacon's various models before switching to cartridge revolvers and later rifles and shot guns. H&A was in business until 1915, and claimed to be the "largest manufacturers of high-grade, popular priced firearms in the world". Hopkins & Allen were well known for their pocket revolvers and Merwin & Hulbert branded large-frame revolvers. H&A are generally of a better quality and workmanship than other suicide specials.

1919 McLaughlin HA 63 touring car assembly project for sale This is a very rare Canadian made car. Less than 6 left that I am aware of. Built with McLaughlin quality, a step above Buick in terms of finish. The person who buys this car should plan on spending a few days with me as we go through all the boxes of parts and supplies, bring your own video camera. You would benefit by spending a few days with me going through what everything is and what I have learned. It is a project, but a lot of the big dollar expenses are completed. The engine has been rebuilt but not completely reassembled. It has new rings & pistons, new valves, new Babbitt (all back in the engine). All the parts are on hand to reassemble the engine including the hard-to-find generator. There is an extra engine and transmission included. It comes with 2 marvel carbs; one has been rebuilt. The frame is in good condition and has been sand blasted as are the fenders. There is an extra front axle and an extra rear end but only one complete crown and pinion. The springs have also been repaired and have new bushings. All plating has been done including dog bone and McLaughlin Motometer. The wheels have been respoked and the rims have been cadmium coated (not painted) I also have 4 original screw on “hub caps” in excellent condition. All wood has been replaced but has not been reassembled. It was redone in Ash as original (air dried for 25 years from our Ontario farm and stored in our barn) except the top bows which needed to be bent with green oak. The oak bows were made in 2 pcs each and are bent but need to be shaped to fit the arms which were also rebuilt. Includes all pictures taken over time, and a video from the early days of taking it apart. It also comes with copies of manuals I have managed to get, not all for the right year but still useful. Mostly this car was referred to as H63 model but the plate on the toe board has the model as HA 63 which I assume meant the “special” version. The special also has wheels in yellow and the original wheels on this car had been yellow, some of the paperwork shows these details. I also have number of period accessories; they are not included in this deal but are available. Including horsehair blanket, spare tanks for running board (Water Gas oil), Period aftermarket electric Canadian wiper system, Running board cooler. I am asking $15K, which just cover my out-of-pocket expenses, nothing for the years of time invested. Recent health issues would suggest I will be unable to complete this project. It is an excellent project for someone. I am located near Grande Prairie in Northern Alberta. Selling/trading a Winchester Model 1892 in 44 WCF (.44-40). Overall it's in nice shape. Made in 1911, 24" barrel. Steel is all in nice shape throughout, has faded to a nice patina, no major pitting or rust to note. Wood stocks are also in good solid shape, shows normal marks and dings throughout, two scratches and one light hairline at the wrist. Bore shows some light pitting throughout but still has decent colour and rifling to it. Loading gate appears to be homemade but seems to function as it should. Complete with iron sights.
