W.R. Case & Son opened a subsidiary factory in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1948 for the purpose of producing a knife for the Canadian military. The factory remained in operation until the mid-1950s. The knives were made according to Canadian military specifications using a pattern that predates WWII. The identifying marks are found on the main blades tang. The knife is basically a slab-sided 6353/1905 pattern knife. The tang on the main blade is stamped MS LTD XX. The MS stands for Metal Stampings, the subsidiary name for the Case factory. The XX is the Case XX stamp common to Case knives. These knives are often erroneously sold as WWII rigging knives. While this pattern knife was used in World War II, the Metal Stampings Ltd. were not used during that war as the company did not exist at the time. Using the same principle as electroplating, this system uses a low voltage and chemicals to remove the lead or copper from your barrel and plate it on the sacrificial anode (stainless steel rod) that you insert in the barrel. It did work in my 243 win 1885 but I just don't shoot enough to make it worthwhile. I think if you had some heavily fouled barrels, maybe a cache of military surplus for example this would be alot less work that scrubbing forever. Comes with the controller, the chemicals, the stainless steel rod and the electrochemical isolation doo-dads. Not sure about shipping as the rods are 30" long and there are two chemicals. Used indoors and very little, only ran one full 12g CO2 cartridge through it. Realistic weight. This SIG SAUER P320/M17 airgun is based on the current sidearm of the US military. The CAF has officially announced that the P320 will be used by the CAF as well. This airgun was originally bought last year for $185.24, and $23.74 for the two extra rotary belts, listed price reflects taxes, as well as comparable current price elsewhere. Camouflage Canada website sells extra of the magazines, which I could not find when I originally bought this, in case you would rather swap entire magazines, rather than rotary belts in one magazine, for more realism. While it is not as realistic as it could be (no slide lock, airgun slide disassembly, magazine with rotary belt, etc.), the main appeal as a training weapon is the realistic weight for dry fire, form, and draw/holster practice. Pick up from Victoria BC, or shipped at buyers expense in maybe a $20, or definitely in a $25, flat rate box.
