Howdy Townpost! I have a truly amazing one of a kind piece here for sale. I bought this for myself in the US over a year ago and I had it professionally restored and fully repaired. I am now looking to sell it. John Forbes, of Liverpool, was gunmaker to His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, later King George IV. And according to my research made mostly dueling and target pistols, and some small pocket pistols for only 5 years. Those years being 1805-1810. He spelt his name with I or Iohn and later switched the spelling to a J or John based on public records and some of the other examples of his dueling pistols that have sold at auction. That makes this a very rare and finely made pistol. This pistol would have cost a small fortune at the time it was made. Oftentimes dueling pistols come in pairs but it was cheaper to buy just one if they were offered as a single, and should you encounter someone who has insulted your honor and you demand satisfaction from them, they can bring their own pistol to the duel. The engraving is extremely fine, intricate and skilled. It would have taken many dozens of hours to complete and it was all done by hand. The engraving features drums, banners and spears, floral patterns, sunbursts on the base plate and lock, and a pineapple in the front of the trigger guard, which symbolizes wealth and status. Because this gun is a percussion conversion of the original flintlock mechanism the percussion hammer is engraved in a different style by a different engraver in a more simple floral and fish mouth style of engraving with gold inlay. Every screw is engraved to look like a flower and the escutcheons are also each engraved like a wreath. Overall there is a lot of fine detail with some simpler and less detailed later additions on the percussion mechanism and one spot on the side plate. The gun features gold inlay on the hammer which largely worn away. There is silver inlay on the outside of the breach, and a sterling silver wreath styled band wrapped around the base of the grip and a sliver bead front sight. The ramrod tip (which is a replacement) is silver plated brass, so too are the front stock cap near the muzzle, the rod pipe, cross key, and escutcheon around it are too. The grip baseplate is silver plated steel. The workmanship of this pistol is certainly of a quality of gunmaker worthy enough of being the gun maker of the Prince of Wales. Howdy Townpost. I've got a number of these brand new Allen slings for sale. The slings I have here are an improvement over the regular Allen Endura. This batch of slings has cam buckles (sometimes called toggle clips) instead of tri-glides. They're easier to use and make attaching the webbing loops to sling swivels really quick and easy. The sling loop sections are longer and could even be used as a carry strap for small logs or something heavy in a pinch. The slings can be adjusted from 28" to 52" so they're quite versatile. The slings are $10 each. I'm currently offering a buy 3 get 1 free deal. The slings are located in SW Calgary and can be picked up almost anytime. I am also happy to ship nationwide, this is of course at the buyer's expense. Shipping these as regular or expedited parcels should be fairly cheap since I can roll up the sling into a little roll and put it into a very small box or mailer. Howdy Townpost! I've gotten my hands on some stubby steelies! These are new production Yugoslavian military patterned magazines made in Croatia. These are well made and the milling was done well too. These are all properly pinned to 5 rounds. And are nice for hunting with a shorter mag or hauling it around with a shorter and lighter mag when compared to standard a 5/30 rounder. These magazines will also work with an AK magazine coupler (I have these for sale for $20). Which for an SKS-D some plastic on the coupler must be removed first. The M10X should work with a coupler without issues the same goes for the WK-181 and modded mags in the Type-81. These can be modified to fit into a Type-81. I also have modded mags for sale which are $55 each. I am the only seller who has these Croatian 5/10's in Canada. Even the crappy Gen.1 KCI 5/10's are out of stock practically everywhere in Canada. This is a limited run, so don't miss out. The mags are $40 each. The mags will come in a plastic bag in preserving oil that can be easily cleaned up with any degreaser or simply hot water and dish soap in your kitchen sink with a quick scrub and then dried. It's a good idea too to apply a light coat of gun oil. A single drop rubbed across the entire mag is enough. These mags will fit in the SKS-D, the M10X series, and they might require some hand fitting to work in the WK-181, since Kodiak designed those things with odd magwell dimensions with PMAGS in mind. In all likelihood though, they will work out of the box for you. The magazines are located in SW Calgary and can be picked up anytime. I am also happy to ship nationwide, this is of course at the buyer's expense. Shipping within my region will cost $13-15, and nationwide elsewhere is $18.89 flat rate. If you order more than 6 mags, shipping will be $21. If you want to order a large amount 10+ shipping will definitely be more.
