This is an excellent single action Smith & Wesson New. Model 3 in .44 Russian. This is an early production pistol as noted by the 4 digit serial number. This pistol is in superior condition given its age. The mechanics are excellent and the bore and chamber, though showing the typical evidence of black powder use, are in extremely good condition with strong rifling. Some original blue remains in protected areas with the balance faded to a very nice patina. It comes with a rare and highly collectible H.H. Heiser 3 loop antique holster which is probably not as old as the pistol itself. Overall, a highly collectible and desirable pistol. As with all antiques, no PAL or registration is required.

It's built off a Remington 700 AAC-SD action, 26 inch semi heavy barrel chambered by High Pro Precision, has a Cadex Strike Nuke chassis, Cadex trigger, MDT 5 rd metal magazine, and a MDT 20 MOA rail. Also has the action and barrel cerakoted sniper grey. The gun shoots 143gr eldx bullets very well, shoots pretty much anything you'll throw at it, it's a dream to shoot. Approximately 150 rounds through the rifle. Gun is in very good condition, some minor scuffs on the barrel from hunting. Scope not included. This is an early, pre-1893, Belgian-made Swedish model, before Nagant transferred production to Husqvarna. It is in excellent condition throughout, with the original blue intact. The nitre-blue colors on the loading gate spring, hammer and trigger are excellent. The action is crisp and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly, without play. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is excellent and mirror bright, with sharp rifling and no signs of pitting or wear. The walnut grips are excellent and undamaged, and show only a little wear on the right side. Pre-1893 Belgian proofs, SN 1827, rated excellent overall.

Awesome shooting all around rifle. It excels on getting packed around the mountains or long walks around home. Very well taken care of. It’s hammered everything from beaver to antelope to moose and elk. 6.5x284 is a very capable flat shooting round that is used by Gunwerks for their long range setups. Vortex Diamondback BDC 4-12x40 is in great condition with vortex lifetime warranty. The hash marks make bullet drop compensation super easy. I shot my antelope with it at 510 yards. 7lbs 1 0z all in fully loaded, super light. Awesome sheep gun. Comes with extra bullets, once shot casings, and a die set for reloading.
