The mount was custom engineered and manufactured specifically for the Type 81 rifle and was extensively tested to ensure reliability, durability and zero-holding properties. The side mount installation is completely reversible and does not involve any drilling or permanent alterations to the rifle. Fits all Type 81 versions. Some light fading towards the muzzle. Wood stock was also lightly oiled and in very nice shape  throughout with very few blemishes to note. Comes topped with a period correct Weaver 29S Special scope with side mount and will also come with a set of peep sights (not pictured). Will come with one detachable magazine. This is a really nice excellent condition 22 rifle. Made sometime between 1947-49. So pretty rare. Tube feed bolt action that can hold 20 rounds of long rifle! Stock has been refinished. Majority of the bluing is still there. Comes with a side scope mount that is the weaver base. This rifle is built like a tank and super accurate with that peep sight setup. Just in time for gopher season! Would consider a trade for a lever or pump action 22. Prefer local sale $550 obo
