We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our Barrhead team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various Customers in Barrhead and Westlock and surrounding areas while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, has experience loading and unloading freight from customer locations and on and off trailers by forklift and palette jack. If working a minimum of 25 hours a week, After 4 months we offer a benefit package. Duties • Safely operate trucks and other heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other equipment when necessary. • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds unassisted and have physical strength –able to lift and carry heavy loads and safely place them on trucks • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. • Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices. • Proven experience in commercial driving, Hold a valid class 1 or class 5 with air brakes. • Must provide a Clean Commercial Drivers abstract; valid within the past 30 days • Minimum 3 years driving experience • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. • Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate records.
