ANTIQUE (no PAL) Holy Grail of Antique Webleys .455 Mk I★★ ** double asterisk Navy Revolver, WW1 Arsenal Upgraded Mark IV Barrel & Cylinder
455 Webley Revolver Firearms Handgun

This is my last of 2 Royal Navy-marked Webley Mk I** service revolvers, manufactured pre-1898 by P. Webley & Sons and arsenal-upgraded circa 1915 with Mk IV barrels and cylinders - the ★★ (**) stamp beside the original "MARK I" mark denoting a second factory-level rebuild for WW1. Be confident these are up to your standards - call, text, or email for more pictures, details, and videos of operation. With barrels and cylinders from almost 2 decades after the 1898 Antique cutoff, these have some of the most modern and reliable steel you can possibly find on an Antique. Both are original .455 Webley, unconverted. As pre-1898 antiques, these can be owned with no PAL or registration by anyone 18+. Fiocchi.455 Webley available online or I can sell to PAL holders.
Mechanics: SA/DA, strong hammer, airtight top-break lockup at the firing position, smooth ejection, reliable timing and indexing throughout. Navy N marks, broad arrows, and NP proofs on right side of barrel. Original barrel and cylinder serials struck and replaced with frame serial as part of the arsenal rebuild - a distinctive and fully documented British military service marking.
SOLD First (Right) - SN 549XX - $7,600: Mirror bore, clean typical matte black smokey post-production finish likely applied during the arsenal upgrade process, replacement grips in strong condition, lockup airtight in firing position.
AVAILABLE Second (Left) - SN 3XX - $7300: First-year production serial - among the earliest Mk Is ever. Slight wiggle in top latch disappears & locks when firing. Strong bore w. minor honest wear, clean black finish, original grips fair with small chip by peg on bottom right panel as is common with age. Can include replacement repro grips if wanted to help preserve the originals.
The Webley Mk I entered British Army service in 1887 as the first mass-produced British military sidearm. Double-star arsenal examples with full Navy markings are rare, let alone as a matching pair in this condition.
Buy with confidence - I don't like drama so I offer a 3-day non-firing inspection period after delivery for money back guarantee if your item is not as expected.
