ANTIQUE (no PAL) Compact RARE Galand 7mm / .32 Smith & Wesson Short Model 1868 Revolver

This is a functional scarce and unique Antique Galand Model 1868 single and double action Revolver. Designed for 7 mm Perrin which gives it antique status, this revolver happens to accept the nearly identical .32 S&W short cartridge which can be reloaded at a low cost, and can even be made from cut down .32 S&W Long brass. There are very few antiques that will accept this caliber, so this is a lucky find. Unlike most antiques which are big and heavy, this is a small frame and compact revolver which still shoots a reliable round. Overall length is 7 inches. Mechanics are fair, with a working action in both single and double action. The hammer is strong and indexing is reliable. The rifling is still strongly defined down the 3" barrel, with evenly scattered patches of inactive oxidation from black powder use. The Galand patented mechanism involves a very unique lever which pulls the barrel and cylinder straight forward while ejecting spent shells. All components of this work fine. As a revolver that's a century and a half old, some wear and wiggle is evident in the lever and hinge mechanism, but it still works consistently and properly. Visually this revolver has an even gray/blue surface with some bits of lustre showing beyond the aged patina. No significant pitting is evident, though scattered dings and scratches are present. The grips are solid, with the left one showing an old crack that could be pretty easily stabilized and closed back up. No PAL, 18+ Ships Canada Check my ads for more antiques. Photo of ANTIQUE (no PAL) Smith & Wesson .44 Russian Double Action New Model No. 3 Revolver
ANTIQUE (no PAL) Smith & Wesson .44 Russian Double Action New Model No. 3 Revolver

Selling to get some cash flow, this is an antique, all matching and fully operational Smith & Wesson top break double action new model #3 revolver. These were the first double action guns ever made by S&W, driven by demand to increase rapid performance at close quarters while still having the choice to shoot with more accuracy in single action. These were mostly chambered in the popular .44 Russian round. These can be purchased in cowboy loads from myself as part of the deal, found online, or easily reloaded with .44 russian, magnum, or special brass. As an antique, this handgun requires no licensing or registration to buy or own in Canada. Do your own legal research! This gun is serial number 35XXX, dating its manufacture to the late 1880s. As a nearly 140 year old gun, the mechanical condition is strong, with all three positions of the hammer exactly as desired and both single and double action trigger pulls nice and light. Indexing is reliable with a lockup of both the cylinder and the top break hatch having less than 1mm wiggle room. The original hard black grips are still sturdy and nice. The 6 inch barrel on this bad boy still has loads of accurate lead to deliver. Ejector functions perfectly. Visually, the overall look is a peppered patina. Very little of the original nickel remains, with a mottled "in the white" surface being most dominant. No severe or active oxidation can be found. All of the two line address and patent info are clearly visible on the top strap, with the S&W stylized logo featured strongly on the right side. An dependable example from a world renowned manufacturer. No PAL, must be 18 Ships Canada Comes with digital FRT report Check my ads for more antiques! ANTIQUE (no PAL) Fantastic Shiny Short 3.5" Barrel .41 Colt 1877 Thunderer Revolver made 1880

For sale is my a mechanically great, all matching, 1880 production short barrel "Shopkeeper" Colt Thunderer in .41 LC. Selling because cash is tight. As an Antique, this handgun is exempt from Canadian licensing and registration requirements, and can be used anywhere a nonrestricted firearm would be legal. Black powder or light load smokeless .41 Long Colt rounds can be purchased online or worked into deal. The 1877 line of revolvers was Colt's first double action model ever produced. They made almost 170,000 from 1877 to 1909 with three main designations: the Colt "Lightning" in .38 LC, the "Thunderer" in .41 LC, and the "Rainmaker" in .32. However, due to Canada's laws, only the .41 caliber ones are designated as "antique". This is luckily one of those guns, and it needs no registration or licensing to own. These models are highly collectible handguns, particularly the short barrelled "Shopkeeper" model due to its easy to stow nature. Arizona Wild West gunslinger Doc Holiday carried one of these. This particular example, SN 22261, was produced rather early in 1880 and has a short but accurate 3.5" barrel. All parts match, and the exterior retains an excellent 85% of the original nickel. The internal mechanics are incredibly clean and original. The bore is fair with strong defined rifling. Grips are nice like-new repros with rampaging Colt medallions. All hammer clicks are present, lockup is rock solid, and the trigger pull is pleasant in both SA and DA. The barrel is stamped with the Hartford Connecticut Colt address and the acid etched "COLT D.A. 41" is still visible. The left side of the frame displays the 3 line 1871, 1874, and 1875 patents. It reads "41 CAL" on the trigger guard. Photo of ANTIQUE SHINY .455/.476 Webley WG Army Retailed by Esteemed John Rigby of London
ANTIQUE SHINY .455/.476 Webley WG Army Retailed by Esteemed John Rigby of London

Selling because cash is tight and I have another - don't miss your chance to add this beautiful investment to your collection. This superb Webley WG Army specimen was made by P. Webley & Sons circa 1896 chambered in .476 Eley and .455 Webley, and sold by the famed John Rigby & Co. in London. Established in 1775, John Rigby & Co remains to this day a staple of the fine firearms market. Their role in this piece's history adds even further to collector value. These revolvers were very popular private purchases among sportsmen and higher ranking officers around the turn of the 20th century up through WW1 as reliable, accurate, and elegant handguns. With an impressive 6" barrel and mirror-bore rifling, this is a collector's or target shooter's dream. I can add a box of 50 factory new Fiocchi Heritage .455 Webley rounds with purchase of the revolver if you have a PAL. If you don't want these rounds, take $100 off asking price. As a pre-1898 antique, this can be owned and used without any registration or headaches. Visually this revolver retains most of its original shiny dark blue finish with scattered minor loss from 130 years living. The trigger, hammer, ejector, cylinder release mechanism, and hinge screw have a shiny silver "in the white" finish giving a proud and bold contrast. The original checkered square bottom hardwood grips are solid, showing some minor dings and a tiny chip on the right. Sharply stamped "WG Army Model" on the top strap with calibers ".455/.476" Webley and Eley, and the W&S winged bullet logo on the left of the frame. The barrel is hand etched with the retailer address "JOHN RIGBY & Co. 72 ST JAMES'S St LONDON S.W.". The serial 13XXX places manufacture in the mid-late 1890s and makes this one of the most modern antiques you can get. The bore retains shiny, strong rifling with scarce patches of wear. The action functions excellent in single and double action, leaving nothing to be desired. The cylinder indexes and locks up with almost no wiggle for reliable firing and the timing is excellent. Comes with FRT antique papers and repro leather Webley holster. Can come with box of Fiocchi .455 Webley ammo if you have a PAL. Photo of Antique shiny BLACK BEAUTY Colt 1878 Frontier Revolver in .476/.455 Webley
Antique shiny BLACK BEAUTY Colt 1878 Frontier Revolver in .476/.455 Webley

*Sold* Parting with my Colt 1878 revolver. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. These revolvers were most commonly chambered in .44-40 Winchester and dubbed the "Frontier Model", with the .476 chambering being very scarce. They were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber twist on the new Colt 1877 Thunderer/Lightning model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. Selling to clear up some moolah for car repairs. Pre-1898 Canada legal antique. This revolver was made in 1885. It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. Serials match 15xxx, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement. This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice black finish with shiny nickeled highlights on the hammer, trigger, and hammer screw. The visual condition speaks for itself. A stunning piece sure to catch eyes, and assurance that the metal will remain protected. The rifling is still strong and defined, showing some scattered frosting. The grips appear original, and are sturdy with minor holster wear on the high points from time on the hip. The action is great. The internals are shiny in factory condition. The cylinder locks up airtight at firing position. I have never seen an 1878 or 1877 with tighter lockup. In the unique fashion of the 1878 model design, this revolver has no cylinder stop allowing slight backrotation when you disengage the action, but it still generally cycles. The loading gate is a bit wobbly, contributing to backrotation. Photo of ANTIQUE (no PAL) .38 Special / .38 Smith & Wesson Model 3 Target Revolver in .38-44 (38/44 S&W) with New Model 3 .44 Russian Frame 1/1413 ever made
ANTIQUE (no PAL) .38 Special / .38 Smith & Wesson Model 3 Target Revolver in .38-44 (38/44 S&W) with New Model 3 .44 Russian Frame 1/1413 ever made

Behold the rare Smith & Wesson Model 3 Target in .38/44 (compatible with .38 Special OR .38 S&W). These were introduced in a limited production of 4333 spanning 23 years starting in 1887, with this being 1 of only 1413 chambered in .38/44 while the rest were .32/44. This was a decade before the first official use of the term ".38 Special" (in 1898) and over 40 years before mass production of the standard pressure .38 Special cartridge by Western Cartridge Company starting in the late 1920s, but the dimensions of .38/44 are identical to the .38 SPL cartridge that we know and love today. In other words, these revolvers were trailblazers ahead of their time. New Model 3 revolvers were the favourite of famous sharpshooter Annie Oakley (who owned 3), and carried by Wyatt Earp during the shootout at the OK Corral for good reason; Smith & Wesson made extremely reliable and accurate revolvers. Two chamberings were used in the No. 3 Target revolvers: .32/44 and .38/44. The 44 refers to the use of the same large frame, cylinder, and barrel that Smith & Wesson's .44 revolvers used. Because of this large frame, this revolver is more strong, robust, and stable for accurate shooting with almost no recoil. It fits the hand very naturally and I've never felt a more elegant trigger pull than what these offer. This revolver would have been made in the early 1890s. The condition is well loved. The surfaces have a consistent aged steely patina with traces of original blueing remaining. The 6 1/2" barrel has clearly defined rifling down the length with scattered oxidation typical of an antique of this age that has seen black powder use. Surfaces show various minor scratches or dings but no active pitting or major damage. I believe the hardwood grips are original S&W factory grips from a different revolver in the main New Model No. 3 production run, as they are stamped inside with the serial 38XXX. The action of this target revolver is functional with a ridiculously light single action trigger pull. All mechanisms work reliably including cycling, indexing, cocking, and firing, though there is definite side-to-side and forward play in the cylinder. The top break latch has minor (approx 1 mm) wiggle. No PAL, 18+ Ships Canada I make no claims about the safety of ANY antique revolver

ANTIQUE (no PAL) CRISP Belgian Gov't Brevet Nagant 1878-86 Revolver in 9 mm with School of Artillery Arsenal Marks (not French / Swiss)

This is a scarce Belgian government Brevet Nagant 1883 revolver in 9mm, made pre-1893 but in top shape. It has service history, with the unit marks on the left side (4 and "A" in box which refers to the Belgian school of artillery) and the 448s are post-production gov't inventory labelling while the 33xx is serial. As a pre-1898 antique, this handgun requires no registration or other processing to buy or use. I'm selling because I don't have a reloading setup to conveniently use it, but to someone with a single stage press and time on your hands this revolver will be a dream. It is in a 9mm Nagant chambering. Based on trying a round in the chamber, .41 magnum brass, if shortened, seems like it would work perfect with a .38 caliber round as a substitute.  It happens to chamber and shoot .38 S&W short rounds if you wrap the brass with some wraps of masking tape or something to ensure appropriate headspace and prevent belling of the brass. I have cherished this revolver for a few years now but it's not getting much appreciationg due to the chambering - I have only ever shot 1 full cylinder of 6 rounds and it was extremely accurate despite the mismatched brass. According to mixed accounts from internet forums there are ways to reload the 9 mm Nagant from .30-30, .41 LC, .41 Magnum, or .38-55 brass, but that's outside my domain of expertise. I can do some caliper work to confirm case and bore dimensions.  This revolver is in amazing shape with fantastic finish and clean surfaces. Fire-blue on loading gate spring. Action is tight and reliable single action only, which was an intentional design shift from the typically double and single action precursors to make mechanics more reliable. This revolver is nearly identical to the 1878/86 for reference. Function is incredibly smooth in SA with reliable indexing and tight lockup which will make for amazing shot consistency.  I sold a Brevet Nagant in the same shape but in 7.5 mm (which took .32 Long) for $5950 earlier this year.  Learn more about this model here: https://littlegun.be/arme%20belge/artisans%20identifies%20nagant/a%20nagant%201878%2086%20gb.htm My pictures and description may not cover all you'd want. Ask and you shall receive!   No PAL, 18+ Ships Canada I make no claims about the safety of firing ANY antique revolver! Photo of Antique UNUSED Condition .44 Russian European Solid Frame Single & Double Action Revolver w. Holster (+ Vintage Collector Remington Ammo)
Antique UNUSED Condition .44 Russian European Solid Frame Single & Double Action Revolver w. Holster (+ Vintage Collector Remington Ammo)

This is an exceptionally preserved (99th percentile) high quality built European solid frame revolver, chambered for .44 Russian in single and double action, made circa 1890 based on late-1800s cylinder fluting style. Everything about this revolver speaks quality to the eye, and in the hand it feels the same. As a pre-1893 antique (proven by the Liege proof mark) this handgun can be bought and owned without registration or other meddling if you are over 18. Antique suitable ammunition can be reloaded or purchased online from stores like rustywood.ca, and I can include a vintage box of Remington Kleanbore .44 Russian from circa 1960s to a PAL holder if wanted or drop it out of the deal for $150. This revolver is in amazing shape, with the lockup and cycling functioning with factory original tolerances. The internal mechanics are in top shape making for an great action. This revolver is clearly a proprietary build by a shop that produced small quantities of higher quality pieces, which was not the most common in Belgium at the time where many manufacturers mass-made lower quality revolvers fast and cheap due to permissive patent laws. I have done lots of digging and can't seem to find who the maker was, but it has the very interesting and novel feature of a frame-mounted ejector rod separate from the cylinder pin where many ejectors from this era stowed in the pin. The surface is amazing with a dusky blue sheen on the faces and original straw-yellow to fire blue hues on the  ejector rod and cylinder pin, hammer, trigger, etc. The right walnut grips are in fantastic and solid condition with no notable dings, chips, or scratches. Knurling is all intact. The rifling is strong with well defined lands and grooves, though there are some areas of concentrated black powder marring.  Overall a very scarce high quality built European revolver that has been exceedingly well cared for over the past 130 years.  If you have any questions or want to make an offer, reach out by phone for fastest response. Photo of Antique (no PAL) RARE Unwin & Rodgers "NON-XLL" Knife Pistol Handgun with Folding Trigger
Antique (no PAL) RARE Unwin & Rodgers "NON-XLL" Knife Pistol Handgun with Folding Trigger

Price drop from 3650 Dec 1! This is an incredibly rare antique Unwin & Rodgers NON-XLL folding knife pistol from the mid-1800s, chambered in a 28 caliber rimfire. Based on dimensions it should accept 25 Stevens rimfire. This is a pocket knife to put all Swiss Army knives to shame, packing a big punch with a folding trigger single action handgun. It is a very collectible piece, and hard to come by in this condition. It would have probably been owned or given as a gift to a relatively wealthy businessman as an elegant approach to utility and self defense. In the 1841 Sheffield trade directory, Unwin and Rodgers advertised themselves as “manufacturers of spring knife cutlery, including lancets, scissor knives and pen machines, pistol knives, American and Indian hunting and self-defense knives.” The theory is that the NON*XLL markings, when read aloud, translate into the phrase “Non-excel,” signifying that the Unwin and Rodgers knife pistol had no peers. Read more here: http://www.johnbhenry.com/store/p152/UNWIN_%26_RODGERS_NON-XLL_KNIFE_PISTOL_%281170%29.html As a pre-1898 Antique collectible, this can be owned by anyone over the age of 18 without any registration or paperwork, and can be fired pretty much anywhere a non-restricted gun would be acceptable. This British made knife pistol is in beautiful condition, with the steel in amazing condition on both the blades and the barrel also. It has carved horn grips, a beautiful shiny barrel, and an even sheen on the knives with no rust. Where many old knives have been sharpened and worn down over the decades, the blade profiles are still original and incredibly sharp. The left grip has a small crack where the rivets are, but it is still very stable and solid. It has multiple Birmingham proofs, and is signed on both blades. The trigger and both knives fold and unfold very cleanly. It is about 10 inches long when the knives are opened. The mainspring is very strong, and all functions correctly in the action and ejector. It has a storage compartment for keeping shells, cleaning patches, and spent casings. The blades are in fantastic shape, especially at over 160 years old.
